Sepolia is a public Ethereum test network primarily used for development and testing. imToken currently supports test networks including Ethereum Sepolia, Arbitrum Sepolia, OP Sepolia, and Base Sepolia.
This guide uses Ethereum Sepolia Testnet as an example to show how to add a testnet account and get Sepolia ETH.
💡 imToken does not provide test tokens. You can get a small amount of Sepolia ETH from a third-party faucet for testing.
Add an Ethereum Sepolia Testnet Account
- In imToken, go to My Profile - Manage wallets - Add. Scroll to the bottom, tap Expand testnets, select Ethereum Sepolia Testnet, and Confirm.
- Return to the wallet homepage to access your newly added Ethereum Sepolia Testnet account.
Get Sepolia ETH
-
Open your Ethereum Sepolia Testnet account and tap Faucet in the account’s function bar to access the QuickNode Faucet DApp. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your wallet address.
- You can also switch to the “Browser” tab and enter: https://faucet.quicknode.com/ethereum/sepolia
- Scroll down and tap Continue, then tap Send to under “AVAILABLE” to send test tokens to your current account address.
Note: QuickNode Faucet checks the address’s Ethereum Mainnet balance and transaction history and limits how often and how much you can claim. If your claim fails, follow the on-screen instructions, try another faucet, or try again later.
- Once your request is submitted successfully, you can check its status using the transaction hash provided by the faucet. After confirmation, the Sepolia ETH will appear in your Ethereum Sepolia Testnet account.
Other Common Sepolia Faucets:
- Alchemy Sepolia Faucet
- PoW Faucet (requires a small amount of computational work)
Tips:
- Faucets are third-party services. Their rules and availability may change at any time.
- Test tokens have no real value and are only for development and testing. Do not confuse them with real assets.
The End
Ethereum test networks are primarily intended for developers to conduct testing. The value of ETH on test networks cannot be compared to ETH on the Ethereum mainnet. Any claims of selling test coins with the promise of upgrading them to mainnet coins are scams.
