The withdrawal address is used to receive staking rewards(including staking rewards and block rewards) and returned staked ETH. There are two withdrawal address formats:
- ETH wallet address (0x01 prefix)
- BLS address (0x00 prefix)
After the Shanghai upgrade, all validators are required to use the ETH wallet address as the withdrawal address.
If you staked through imToken version 2.12.2 or higher, the withdrawal address is automatically set to an ETH wallet address. No further setup is required.
If you staked ETH through an imToken version below 2.12.2, please update to the latest version and follow the steps below to manually set your withdrawal address.
Important: You can only change the withdrawal address once. Make sure you use an address you control.
Single validator
1. Open the ETH staking page, click on the wallet address and select the validator that needs its withdrawal address set.
2. After successful set, staking rewards will be automatically and periodically (every few days) sent to your withdrawal address by the Ethereum network.
Multiple validators
If you have multiple validators’ withdrawal addresses needed to be set, you will see a prompt "X validators have not set withdrawal addresses" on top of the validators page. Click "Go to settings” in the prompt to batch set withdrawal addresses for multiple validators.
