After switching phones, you can restore and continue managing your wallets by importing their mnemonic phrases, private keys, or Keystore files into imToken on your new phone.
Follow the steps below:
1. Back up your wallets on your old phone
Before switching phones, make sure you have safely backed up the mnemonic phrases, private keys, or Keystore files for all wallets in the app on your old phone.
2. Download and install imToken
Download and install imToken on your new phone from its only official website: https://token.im.
⚠️ Downloading and using a fake app will expose your mnemonic phrase or private key and lead to asset theft.
3. Import your wallet
Open imToken on your new phone, tap “Import existing wallet”, and choose to import using a mnemonic phrase, private key, or Keystore file.
• A mnemonic phrase can restore account addresses across multiple networks. When importing, select the networks you used on your old phone. For example, select Ethereum if you previously managed an Ethereum account, or Tron if you managed a Tron account.
• A private key or Keystore file can only restore its corresponding account address.
4. Check your addresses and tokens
After restoring your wallet, check that the wallet addresses match on both phones and that your tokens appear correctly. If a token is not displayed, add it from “All My Assets” or use the custom token option.

5. Restore other wallets (if any)
To restore any other wallets you separately created or imported on your old phone, go to “My Profile” - “Manage wallets” - “+ Add Wallet” - “Import existing wallets” on your new phone.
Before uninstalling imToken from your old phone, make sure all wallet mnemonic phrases or private keys are safely backed up and that the wallet addresses and tokens on your new phone are correct.
Tips
Keep your backed-up mnemonic phrases or private keys safe. Use a physical backup, such as writing them down on paper or storing your mnemonic phrase in a mnemonic phrase storage box. These physical backups cannot connect to the internet or transmit information between electronic devices, keeping your mnemonic phrase fully offline.
