imToken × Devcon VI
Between October 11th to 14th, Bogotá witnessed the successful conclusion of Devcon VI, an exciting Ethereum event with the imToken team taking a full part in it. During the event, a booth was set up on the spot for the team to introduce features of imToken and how to use it to Ethereum fans. Also, the latest Layer 2 progress of the team was showcased.

Wallets are the gateway for users to enter the Web3 world. However, it is rather complicated to manage wallet private keys. This is a barrier to achieving decentralization at a large scale. In the conference, on behalf of imToken, Chang-Wu Chen, the chief scientist of imToken Labs and the first researcher of the Ethereum Foundation in Taiwan, addressed on the topic "Post-Merge Wallet". In his speech, existing wallet problems were discussed involving Layer 2, DeFi, account abstraction, and social recovery. Also, the future form of a wallet was covered in the speech.

All in all, Devcon VI is the epitome of the technical progress of the Ethereum community in the past three years. It can also serve as a blueprint for Ethereum’s future. During these years, Ethereum has been witnessing a lot of exciting technologies and evolving frameworks. There will be huge upgrades in the future. I believe that its future is worth expecting as long as it can stay decentralized.

Learn and Earn
In October, imToken held two activities:
The first one: Play and Earn
Play and Earn was launched on October 10th, and tens of thousands of wallet addresses got NFT airdrop in this Devcon-themed campaign. Users won NFTs and 10,000 USDC while learning about the conference.
The second one: Learn and Earn 6
We received more than 160,000 quizzes about the Ethereum Merge during the Learn and Earn 6 campaign.
Ethereum completed the long-awaited merge with the Beacon Chain on Sept.15, 2022 and successfully moved from PoW to PoS. That begs questions:
- What is The Merge? What will happen after this upgrade?
- What is ETH staking and how to participate?

In the future, there will be an NFT Learn and Earn activity. If you are interested in NFTs, stay tuned to the imToken official website: https://token.im
