Polkadot will undergo an Asset Hub migration at block number 28,490,502, scheduled for November 4, 2025, at 16:00 (SGT) / 08:00 (UTC).
Asset Hub is a system parachain within the Polkadot network that offloads asset management, shared balance, and multi-asset issuance functions from the relay chain. This change helps improve scalability and simplifies the overall network architecture.
During the migration, your Polkadot account balance may appear incorrect or temporarily disappear — this is normal, and your funds remain safe.
After the migration is complete, transaction fees will be greatly reduced, and you’ll also enjoy a lower account creation threshold — the minimum balance will drop from 1 DOT to 0.01 DOT.
Note: After the Asset Hub migration, your Polkadot account will only display transactions made after the migration. Earlier records can still be viewed on the blockchain explorer.
