This article explains how to switch and manage accounts in imToken Web.
Switching Accounts
1. Open your mobile browser and visit https://web.token.im. Tap the menu button in the top right, select Sign out, and confirm.
2. Go to the imToken Web homepage. Tap the top-right menu → Sign in → Use another account to switch.
3. For passkeys stored in apps like 1Password or Chrome, select More Options on the login page.
4. If your passkeys are stored on another device, scan the QR code with it to log in
Managing Accounts
imToken Web accounts rely on the passkeys stored on your device. You can edit or delete these passkeys, or set your device to only use passkeys from specific providers.
⚠️ Note: If you delete a passkey, you may lose access to the linked account and assets permanently.
Passkey management on different devices and apps:
- iPhone: Settings → Passwords, or open the Passwords app → Passkeys
- Android: Settings → Passwords, Passkeys & Accounts → Preferred Service → Google Password Manager
- 1Password: Open the app, then search for the corresponding item
Note: Some Android devices (e.g., Huawei, Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO) may not yet support passkeys. Please refer to your device manufacturer’s instructions.
Setting a specific passkey provider:
- iPhone: Settings → Apps → Passwords & Codes
- Android Phone: Settings → Passwords, Passkeys & Accounts → Preferred Service → Google Password Manager

Q: Can I recover my account after changing phones?
Yes. On your new phone, log in with the same Apple ID / Google account / 1Password account. Then visit https://web.token.im, tap Sign In, and select the corresponding passkey to log in your account.
Q: Can I use multiple accounts at the same time?
Yes. You can create multiple accounts with different passkey providers, or even multiple accounts with the same provider. We recommend giving each account a clear name to keep them easy to identify and manage.
