Backup Mnemonic Phrase
When creating a wallet, be sure to back up the mnemonic phrase correctly according to the prompts and keep it safe.
All account addresses under a wallet share one set of mnemonic phrases. Therefore, when exporting the mnemonic phrase of a wallet, you can obtain the mnemonic phrases of all account addresses such as ETH, BTC, TRX, etc. under the wallet. Specific steps are as follows:
- Open imToken, tap “Create Wallet”, and set up the wallet name, password, and accounts.
- On the mnemonic phrase backup page, read the security reminders carefully.
- Tap “Back up mnemonic” and review the security reminders again.
- Tap “View now” and write down the words on paper in the exact order shown (or back it up with a mnemonic storage box).
- Once you have written down the mnemonic phrase completely and accurately, tap “Confirm backup” to continue.
- Tap the words in the correct order to verify your backup.
- Tap “Next” to complete the backup.
View or Back Up Again
If you need to view or back up the mnemonic phrase again later, follow the steps below:
- Click “My Profile” - “Manage wallets”
- Choose the wallet you want to back up, click “Backup wallet”
Since the mnemonic phrase cannot be retrieved once lost, be sure to back up the mnemonic phrase immediately when creating the wallet to avoid token loss due to device unavailability.
