What Is Arc?
Arc is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain introduced by Circle, primarily designed for financial use cases such as stablecoin payments, foreign exchange, on-chain credit, and capital markets.
Arc uses the stablecoin USDC as its native gas token. Network fees are denominated directly in USDC, making costs easier to understand and estimate. In addition to stablecoins, users can manage other tokens on Arc through their wallets and explore ecosystem applications for swaps, new project launches, and tokenized assets.
How It Works
Arc consists of the following core components:
Malachite consensus layer: Arc uses the Malachite consensus engine, with validator nodes working together to confirm transactions and achieve sub-second transaction finality, reducing wait times for on-chain operations.
Execution layer: Built on Reth and compatible with the EVM, Arc’s execution layer handles transfers, smart contracts, and account balances, making it easy to integrate applications and developer tools from the Ethereum ecosystem.
Stablecoin gas fee model: Arc uses USDC to pay network fees for transfers and interactions with applications. A fee adjustment mechanism helps reduce fee volatility caused by short-term fluctuations in network demand.
Key Features
- EVM compatibility
- Sub-second transaction finality
- Gas fees paid in USDC

How to Use Arc Mainnet with imToken?
Creating an Arc Mainnet Account
To create an Arc account, navigate to My Profile -> Manage wallets -> Add. In the Popular section, select Arc, and confirm. Then, return to the wallet homepage to access your newly created Arc account.
Note: The Popular section lists networks that have been accessed most frequently in recent days. If you don’t see Arc there, look under the EVM section.
Receiving and transferring tokens
On your Arc account homepage, you can click Transfer or Receive and then perform the corresponding operation.
Receiving
Click Receive, share the QR code or copy your wallet address, and use Arc network to receive tokens.
Transferring
Click Transfer, select the token you want to transfer, enter the recipient’s address and amount, and then confirm and send the transaction.
Note: Before making a transfer, please ensure that your wallet has sufficient USDC to cover the gas fee.
Bridge USDC to Arc
If you hold USDC on other networks, such as Ethereum or Arbitrum, you can use a DApp such as BRIDGE to transfer it to your Arc account. The following example shows how to bridge USDC from Arbitrum:
1. Open your Arbitrum account in imToken, switch to the Browser tab, and enter https://bridge.usdc.com in the search bar to visit the official website.
2. Tap Connect in the top right corner, select imToken -> EVM, then confirm the wallet connection request.
3. Tap the To field (the destination network) and select Arc.
Tip: To bridge from another network, tap the default source network field and select the network where you hold USDC.
4. Enter the amount you want to bridge, check the network fee, then tap Send. Follow the prompts to sign and submit the token approval and bridge transactions.
5. Once the transactions are confirmed, return to your Arc account homepage to check the balance you have received.
