Why does staking require two signatures?

When creating a validator on the imToken Staking page, two signatures are typically required:

• First Signature (Message Signing): Used to verify wallet ownership and confirm that your ETH balance is sufficient for staking. This action is gasless.

• Second Signature (On-chain Transaction): Used to submit the staking deposit to the Ethereum network. Since this is an on-chain transaction, gas fees apply. Staking is only finalized once this transaction is confirmed on the blockchain.
