imToken now supports getting stock tokens through CoW Swap, a decentralized trading aggregator. CoW Swap uses batch auctions to cut gas costs, reduce slippage, and protect against MEV attacks—so you can trade at better prices.
The stock tokens in imToken are provided by Ondo Finance, a leading RWA platform. Ondo tokenizes popular stocks like Apple (AAPL) and Tesla (TSLA), with tokens backed by the underlying assets and held by top custodians such as J.P. Morgan, ensuring compliance and security.
How to get Ondo stock tokens with CoW Swap
Step 1: Connect your wallet
1. In imToken, open your Ethereum account and switch to the Browser tab.
2. Enter CoWSwap in the search bar or visit https://swap.cow.fi
3. When prompted, tap Confirm to connect your wallet
Step 2: Enable the Ondo Tokenized Stocks List
If this is your first time, you’ll need to enable the Ondo list to view stock tokens.
1. On the CoW Swap home screen, tap the token selector.
2. Tap Manage Token Lists at the bottom.
3. Scroll down and enable Ondo Tokenized Stocks List
Step 3: Choose tokens and get a quote
1. From the token list, select or search the token you’ll use to pay (e.g., USDC, ETH), then enter the amount.
💡 Tip: CoW Swap supports gas-free swaps for tokens like USDC, DAI (marked gas-free). With these, you don’t need to hold ETH—fees are deducted from the token you pay with.
2. Select the stock token: Search for the token you want and get a quote. For example
- AAPLon → Apple stock token
- TSLAon → Tesla stock token
- NVDAon → NVIDIA stock token
- MSTRon → MicroStrategy stock token
- SPYon → SPDR S&P 500 ETF stock token

Step 4: Complete the swap
1. After you get a quote, tap Swap. Review the expected receive amount, network fees, and slippage tolerance.
💡 Tip: If you see a notice like “Swap costs are at least xx% of the swap amount,” try increasing the amount or wait for lower fees. To proceed anyway, select Swap anyway and tap Swap.
2. Tap Confirm Swap. When prompted, approve the token (if required), then sign to submit your order.
3. Wait for confirmation: CoW Swap will search for the best price and execute the swap. This usually takes a few minutes, depending on the pair’s liquidity and network congestion.
Note: Orders are valid for 30 minutes by default. You can close the DApp—your order won’t be interrupted. If the order expires unfilled, it’s automatically canceled and your tokens remain in your wallet.
💡Tip: How do I cancel a pending order?
-
Method 1 (current screen):
If the status shows Still searching, tap Cancel order → Request cancellation, then sign. - Method 2 (order history): From the CoW Swap home screen, tap Pending in the bottom-left corner, find the order, and tap Cancel order.
Step 5: View your received tokens
1. Return to your Ethereum account and tap the “+” button.
2. In “All My Assets”, select the stock token you just swapped for (e.g., AAPLon).
3. Go back to the account home to see your balance.
4. To swap stock tokens back to other tokens on Ethereum, follow the same steps in reverse.
FAQs
A. Getting Stock Tokens via CoW Swap
Q1. What if I can’t find the stock token I want?
First, make sure you’re connected with an Ethereum account and that the Ondo Tokenized Stocks List is enabled under Manage Token Lists.
If the Ondo list doesn’t appear in Manage Token Lists (this may happen due to network issues), you can add it manually:
1. Paste the following URL into the Lists search box
2. Click Import
Q2. Why isn’t the swap instant?
CoW Swap uses a batch auction mechanism, which means your order may be grouped with others to secure the best price. As a result, settlement can take a few minutes.
If your order is canceled or expires, your tokens will stay in your wallet or be automatically refunded.
Q3. What is slippage? Do I need to set it manually?
Slippage is the gap between the expected price and the actual execution price, and it tends to widen in volatile markets. CoW Swap’s design helps reduce slippage and protect against MEV, so the default dynamic setting generally works well. If needed, you can set a custom slippage (e.g., 0.5%, 2%) in the Settings menu at the top right, next to My Orders.

B. RWA & Stock Tokens
Q1. What is RWA?
RWA (Real-World Assets) refers to bringing traditional assets—like stocks, bonds, real estate, and gold—onto the blockchain through tokenization.
Compared to traditional finance, RWA offers:
- Lower entry barriers: Assets can be fractionalized, allowing more people to participate.
- Higher liquidity: Tokenized assets can be traded around the clock, 24/7.
- Convenience: No brokerage account required — you hold and manage them on-chain just like any other token.
Q2. What is a stock token?
A stock token is a type of RWA that represents the value of a real company’s stock. A regulated institution purchases and holds the real shares, then issues an equivalent number of tokens on-chain. The token’s price tracks the underlying stock.
Holders gain the economic benefits, such as price appreciation and dividends, but do not receive shareholder voting or governance rights.
Q3. What are Ondo stock tokens?
imToken now supports stock tokens from Ondo Finance, a leading RWA platform.
Ondo stock tokens provide economic exposure to real stocks and ETFs. Ondo Finance partners with institutions like Mastercard, J.P. Morgan, and regulated custodians to ensure every token is backed by real assets. This gives users on-chain access to U.S. stocks.

Ondo offers 100+ stock tokens, including:
- Popular U.S. stocks such as AAPL, TSLA, NVDA, and more
- ETFs like the SPDR S&P 500 ETF, iShares series, and others
Naming convention: stock/ETF ticker + “on” suffix (e.g., TSLA → TSLAon, AAPL → AAPLon)

Q5. How do I get stock tokens in imToken, and what fees should I expect?
Go to the Browser tab in imToken and visit a DEX aggregator like CoW Swap or 1inch. Swap using USDC, USDT and other supported tokens.
Fees may include:
- Gas fees: Paid to blockchain validators.
- DEX fees: Swap/LP fees charged by the DEX.
- Slippage: A price difference that occurs during execution, typically from volatility or insufficient liquidity.
Q6. Are there time limits for trading?
Ondo stock tokens trade across U.S. pre-market, regular, and after-hours sessions.
Trading window: Monday 08:00 to Saturday 07:59 (SGT).
Q7. How are dividends paid on Ondo stock tokens?
Dividends aren’t paid out in cash. Instead, Ondo automatically reinvests net dividends into the same stock token.
Here’s how it works: when the company pays a dividend, Ondo withholds any required taxes. The net dividend is then used to purchase additional shares of the same stock. Your token count doesn’t change, but each token is backed by more underlying shares—boosting its long-term value.
Example
- 1 token = 1 share of AAPL at $100.
- Dividend = $4 per share; after 25% withholding, net = $3.
- Ex-dividend, the share price adjusts to $96
- Reinvest $3 at $96 → buy 0.03125 shares.
- Your 1 token now represents 1.03125 AAPL shares.
Note: Withholding tax is deducted at source. The company (or its agent) withholds the required amount and remits it to the tax authority; you receive the net amount.
Risk Warning: RWA products are subject to strict regulatory oversight and may not be available in all regions. In line with applicable regulations, Ondo Finance may restrict users in certain jurisdictions (e.g., the United States).
You should ensure that your activities comply with local laws before investing.
