Recently, we've noticed scams enticing users with promises of high returns. Scammers use social platforms like Facebook and Telegram to promote fake investment websites like Crypto Farm, MT9. They falsely claim partnerships with imToken and instruct users on accessing their sites via imToken.
These scammers frequently change domain names, such as from trc20inee.com to trc20dce.com, and from imtyokenji.com to imtmvoken.com. Once their URLs are blocked, they quickly switch to new ones to continue their fraud.
If users mistakenly sign an authorization transaction on their sites, the token transfer authority goes to the scammer, who then steals the tokens. Scammers also entice users to invest more by showing fake returns on these sites.
When users try to withdraw their funds, they find it impossible. The scammers then claim account freezing due to risk control, require fund verification, or impersonate wallet customer service to demand taxes or unfreezing fees, deceiving users out of more assets.
PSA:
- Be cautious of high-return investments and do not easily trust financial advice from others.
- The imToken browser allows users to access various websites, but this does not imply any cooperation with imToken and these websites. Please assess the risks before visiting these websites.
- Mnemonics and private keys represent control over your assets. Keep them secure and never disclose them to anyone.
If you suspect that the project you invested in matches the characteristics of these scams, stop all operations immediately and report to local police or law enforcement authorities.
