From verifying wallet ownership and reviewing signature details to sending and receiving funds, every step of an on-chain interaction requires sufficient information and clear decision-making.
In imToken 2.21.0, we’ve added support for BTC and ETH message signing and introduced multiple experience enhancements across signing, transfers, and receiving assets, helping users complete every on-chain action with greater confidence.

- 📝 Plain text input for ETH Data, simplifying transfer notes and on-chain messages
- 🛡️ Automatic transfer address checks with clearer risk alerts and key reminders
- 💰 Improved token acquisition options for a clearer receiving experience
- 🌐Support for Robinhood Chain, making it easier to explore a popular ecosystem
Support for BTC & ETH Message Signing, Making Ownership Verification Easier
imToken 2.21.0 now supports BTC and ETH message signing. When an exchange, service provider, or recipient needs to verify your address ownership, you can sign a message directly in the wallet and provide the signature for verification. The process happens entirely off-chain, meaning zero gas fees.
Go to the Account Details page, tap “Sign Message,” and enter the requested content. Whether you're using a BTC Legacy, SegWit, or Taproot address, or an ETH address, you can complete message signing directly in imToken, making address ownership verification simpler and more efficient.
imToken now also supports Tron TIP-712 signing. Compared with traditional signing methods that often present difficult-to-understand data, TIP-712 displays signing information in a clearer, more readable format, helping users better understand authorization requests and reduce the risk of accidental signing.
Plain Text Input for ETH Data, Simplifying Transfer Notes and On-Chain Messages
In ETH transfers, the Data field is commonly used to record transfer notes or publish messages on-chain. Previously, users who wanted to write text on-chain typically had to rely on third-party tools to convert their content into hexadecimal format before submitting a transaction.
ETH Transfer Advanced Mode now supports direct plain-text input, eliminating the need for format conversion. For developers and advanced users, direct HEX input remains available. Whether adding transfer notes or recording messages on-chain, the experience is now simpler and more intuitive.
Automatic transfer address checks with clearer risk alerts and key reminders
imToken 2.21.0 introduces automatic transfer address checks. After you enter a recipient address, the wallet provides relevant information and reminders based on the address, helping you perform additional verification before sending assets.
For example, when the destination address is linked to a domain name, flagged as potentially risky, or has never interacted with your wallet before, the wallet will display relevant reminders. If multiple conditions apply, imToken prioritizes the information shown, making transfers clearer and more reassuring.
Note: This feature currently supports Tron and Ethereum, with support for additional networks planned in future releases.
Improved Token Acquisition Options for a Clearer Receiving Experience
The latest version of imToken improves the token acquisition section on the Receive page by bringing together common methods such as receiving assets from another wallet or withdrawing from an exchange.
Whether you're using a wallet for the first time or receiving assets at a new address, you can more quickly find the right way to acquire tokens, making the receiving process clearer.
Support for Robinhood Chain
imToken now supports Robinhood Chain. Built on Arbitrum by Robinhood, Robinhood Chain is a Layer 2 network focused on on-chain finance, including RWA and tokenized equities.
Add your account in “Manage Wallet”, switch to Robinhood Chain on the home screen, and open “DApp” in the navigation bar to explore its popular DApps.
