imToken introduced the concept of digital identity in our 2.0 version. Digital identity serves as the unique identity for each user in the blockchain world, which differs from your real-world identity. Please click here to find out more about the concept of digital identity.
Users will be able to import digital identity in imToken 2.0 using your Mnemonic Passphrase backed-up from previous ETH wallet. If you did not backup the Mnemonic Passphrase previously or are new to decentralized wallets, you may create a digital identity. Please click here to view the video tutorial.
If you have previously backed-up the Mnemonic Phrase, you will be able to import your wallet, which at the same time, creating your digital identity with the Mnemonic Phrase you used.
So, how do you import a wallet under your digital identity?
Here's an example of importing bitcoin mnemonic:
1. Click on the switch button on the top of "Assets" page enter the "Manage wallets" page. then click the "+" button on the right of "Imported Wallet"
2. Next, choose the "Bitcoin Wallet" enter the "Import Bitcoin Wallet" page.
3. Select "mnemonic" and input your mnemonic(make sure here is a space between each word), then input the password, select the type of address, Segwit address or General address.
